ProWORX Software

ProWORX was the first good PC based programming software available for Modicon logic controllers. It was produced by 'Taylor Industrial Software' a Canadian company founded by Neil Taylor. The product was later bought by Schneider in 1999. It gave you the power to program online and offline in a familiar DOS environment.
It was compatible with all PC OS from DOS 3.0/Windows 3.1 up to Windows 2000.
An asynchronous adaptor (RS-232 serial port or an SA85 card) was required for direct communication with programmable controllers.
Any Desktop PC or laptop with standard serial portcould be used. Just make a DB9-DB25 pin null modem adapter & connect to the DB-25 to Military connector provided with the Modicon 584 PLC.
A printer port and compatible printer to generate document listings.
One or more Modicon controllers.
